A first Spanish A400M under the control of EATC

(B2) A Spanish A400M carried out a first operational mission in Bamako on Tuesday (January 22) under the command and control of the EATC, the European Transport Command, based in Eindhoven (Netherlands).

The Spanish A400M was transporting personnel and cargo for the Spanish contingent of the European Union Training Mission in Mali (EUTM).

The multinational fleet of the EATC now includes 43 A400Ms from three member countries (Spain, Germany and France) specifies the command in a press release published on February 12. By the end of 2019, EATC is expected to command and control up to 54 aircraft.
