Three Brazilian soldiers joined the European mission at the beginning of January, whose HQ is established in Bangui. Brazil thus becomes the 12nd participating country and the 4nd third countries (after Georgia, Serbia and Bosnia) to participate in the European Union training mission in the Central African Republic. Present in the region within the UN forces for several years (MINUSCA, MONUSCO, UNAMID, UNMISS), it is in the United Nations mission in South Sudan that the main Brazilian forces are currently deployed.
