EUNAVFOR reaches out to Somali fishermen

The Spanish vessel Relampago made a "friendly approach" to a Somali dhow. After boarding, EUNAVFOR sailors took an interest in the activities of Somali fishermen, and offered them water, food and medical equipment. This tactic (better known by its English term of friendly approach) allows the mission to educate Somali fishermen on the fight against piracy, and to inform them about EUNAVFOR's mandate.
