Nominations for the 2018 Louise Weiss Prize are open. Apply!

Are you a journalist and published a story on Europe in 2018? Are you in journalism school and have a group project on the European elections? Take part in the 2018 Louise Weiss Prize for European Journalism!

Organized by the Association of European Journalists (AJE) and supported by the Ministry of European Affairs and the Hippocrene Foundation, the Louise Weiss Prize opens its thirteenth edition.

Awarded by a jury of journalists, it rewards articles that have dealt with European news and have appeared between January 1 and December 24, 2018.

Three categories are open:

  • reporting (written, audio, photo, video, digital),
  • decryption (surveys, portraits, interviews, files),
  • the young journalist (under 25, school students and trainees).

Note: in this year of European elections, the French section of the Association of European Journalists wishes to raise awareness among future journalists of European issues. It was therefore decided to create a special prize for journalism schools.

Applications are open until December 24, 2018, at midnight.
