A Greek submarine in Sophia

(B2) A Greek submarine, the Pipinos (S-121), took part in the European maritime operation in the Mediterranean (EUNAVFOR Med / Sophia) we learned.

For two weeks, from February 14 to 28, he was able to discreetly observe the movements of certain ships, in particular in order to apply the UN resolution on the arms embargo in Libya.

Pipinos is the second German-designed Type 214 Papanikolis-class submarine in the Greek Navy.
