Slovak soldier who died at EUFOR Althea
(B2) A last tribute was paid on Friday (February 16) to the Slovak soldier who died last Wednesday.
Peter Pavlovský, a 42-year-old major from Zamarovce (Trenčín), worked as a personnel and finance officer. Wednesday, February 14, in the morning, he " suddenly "felt bad and saw his health" deteriorate rapidly " according to official release of the Slovak Ministry of Defence. Despite first aid given at Camp Butmir (Sarajevo), he was taken to hospital in critical condition where he died later that day. The exact causes of his death have not been revealed. They will be during the autopsy. His death is natural assured the Slovak Minister of Defense, Peter Gajdoš. His presence in Sarajevo was not his first mission abroad. Engaged for 24 years in active service, he had participated twice in the operation in Afghanistan, within ISAF and Resolute Support. He had been deployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina since August 2017, for a period of one year.
