Two conferences on the CSDP in the European institutions
(B2) Security and defense issues are at the top of the political agenda of European States and will be even more so these days with the meeting of November 13 which will see the Permanent Structured Cooperation, an old project dating back to of the 2000s, to be reborn from these ashes. All governments recognize the necessary European dimension.
In turn, Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron, Paolo Gentiloni, Bohuslav Sobotka or Sauli Niinistö, etc. expressed their support and their desire to move these projects forward. The community institutions, Jean-Claude Juncker on the one hand, Federica Mogherini on the other have played their part, making various proposals, possibly compromises, to allow these projects to see the light of day. Even in the UK, Theresa May's government has signaled the UK's intention to continue post-Brexit cooperation with other Europeans.
A conference this Wednesday and Thursday
As part of the training conferences of the trade union group "Union for Unity" (U4U), with the magazine Grasse of the Reflection Group on the future of the European Public Service and the Association of French women and men from Community and European institutions (AFFCE), I will take stock of all the current affairs of the CSDP and European defense within the European institutions, Wednesday 8 November, at 18 p.m., in building L-00, main hall and Thursday 80 November 9 from 2017 p.m. in the SEAE.
