Malians train in demining

(B2) Operational Search Course (Operational Search Course) issued by EUTM Mali ended on November 17, 2017, at the Koulikoro Training Center (KTC). Lasting six weeks, this training aimed to enable a section of the 26th Engineer Battalion, based in Ségou, to improve their shooting techniques, reaction to contact, first aid, fight against improvised explosives (IED) and radio procedure. The ultimate goal is for the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) to have troops trained and specialized in the search and neutralization of IEDs, which are particularly numerous in the country. Malian soldiers thus had the opportunity to train on new techniques allowing them to anticipate, detect and react to these explosives. These notions were then put into practice in the field with the support of EUTM coaches, the students having to deal with realistic situations.
