(B2) In Bangui, the European Central African Armed Forces Training Mission (EUTM RCA) is now commanded by Spanish General Fernando García Blàzquez. The handover ceremony took place on Monday July 24, at the Ucatex-Moana camp, in the presence of the division general Daniel Grammatico, head of state-major of the MPCC, and General Ramirez, commander of the Eurocorps, to which the two heads of mission (outgoing and incoming) belong. In his intervention, the new commander was optimistic about the progress the mission should make during this third rotation. He underlined the importance of cooperation between Member States of the European Union and with the rest of the international community to help the Central African Republic (CAR) emerge from the crisis.
