The workshops of the Citadel, in Lille, it's June 29!
(B2) Over the years, the Citadel workshops that take place in Lille (in the citadelle, dating from Vauban) take their place as an unmissable event for anyone interested in defense and European defense in particular. For those who haven't done so yet, mark June 29 in your diary. It should be interesting.
Three hot topics
The three topics covered are topical:
- « Europe facing all these crises », with General Georgelin (former Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and private chief of staff of the President of the Republic) and Nicole Gnesotto (Chairman of the Board of Directors of the IHEDN);
- « NATO / EU: planned obsolescence », with Alain Leroy (former Secretary General of the EEAS, the European diplomatic service), Arnaud Danjean (MEP specializing in defense and internal security issues), Pauline Schnapper (professor of contemporary British civilization at the Sorbonne University) and General Gert Johannes Hagemann (Deputy General Commanding the Rapid Reaction Corps - France);
- « Refugees and borders what security for what democracy with Ana Maria Gomes (MEP), Pascal Brice (OFPRA), Bruno Tertrais (Strategic Research Foundation) and Catherine Wihtol de Wenden (CNRS).
A personality and a manual
Without forgetting the High Representative of the Union, Federica Mogherini, who should (to be confirmed) mark this meeting with her presence.
These workshops will also be an opportunity to meet André Dumoulin and myself. We will indeed present our PeSDC handbook. This will also be an opportunity, if you haven't already, to discover this book and win it at a "Special Citadel" price.
