(B2) On Monday May 1, the guys from Operation Sophia carried out an arms seizure, the first of its kind since the European Operation in the Mediterranean (EUNAVFOR Med) started controlling the arms embargo, last October, in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2292. A vessel flying the Libyan flag

This prize goes to the German ship, the auxiliary ship Rhine, or more exactly to the Lithuanian boarding team that was on board... The Lithuanians boarded a ship El Mukthar flying the Libyan flag. They discovered a small arsenal on board: machine guns, AK47 (Kalashnikov) rifles, RPG-type rocket launchers and grenades, mortar grenades and ammunition.

The Marseille Public Prosecutor's Office should be seized

All the weapons were seized and then transferred to the German ship to be checked, counted and then disposed of by the military. The perpetrators of the criminal acts could be prosecuted. Normally, according to the internal protocol concluded within the European Union, it is the Marseille Public Prosecutor's Office which should be seized.

(Maj 13.5) According to our information, the vessel seized was traveling from Misrata to Benghazi, carrying numerous weapons, far from being defensive: landmines, numerous materials intended for an offensive, and apparently intended for anti-terrorist troops. -Haftar.
