Life-size exercise for European coast guards off Split

(BRUSSELS2) The first maritime border protection exercise, led by the new European Border and Coast Guard Agency, was carried out in Split (Croatia) on Tuesday (11 October). The objective was to test the interoperability of the different services on two different scenarios : the first against illegal immigrants aboard the ship and the second faced with an act of maritime terrorism. participated in the exercise the Navy Operations Center and the Coast Guard Operations Center, the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) Rijeka, the police special forces, the police and the Coast Guard ships and aircraft of the Croatian Armed Forces.
