(B2) The British ship HMS Diamond (D-34) will come to reinforce the EUNAVFOR Med operation in its new function of arms control. This Type 45 air defense destroyer left its home port of Portsmouth on Wednesday evening (August 31) and arrived in Gibraltar on Sunday (September 4) where it was reunited with the auxiliary vessel FRG Mounts Bay that he should replace. Expected duration of his appointment: about two months.

NB: The British were permanently engaged in Operation Sophia, supplying a ship almost without interruption, the HMS Enterprise notably distinguished itself by going to the aid of more than 700 people in distress.
