A debate on the defense review reduced to a sheet?

(B2) The British government's desire to have the most limited debate on the Strategic Defense Review fizzled. The government, which has just launched a consultation on the review of its defense policy, wanted to limit the gloss received and imposed a limit of 1500 characters for each response. A bit short ! A process which angered the British MPs on the Defense Committee who wrote a blunder to the government to remove this limit on their free expression. They have just been proven right. The government has therefore lifted any length limit on responses to its consultation.
