NATO's mega-carrier exercise in the Mediterranean in the fall

Exercise Trident Juncture 2015(B2) NATO is preparing for a major maritime exercise off the coasts of Italy, Spain and Portugal in the fall, from October 3 to November 6.

referred Trident Juncture 2015, this exercise " is the largest exercise conducted by the Alliance since 2002 announces Brunssum HQ in the Netherlands, which leads its organization. It will bring together 36.000 soldiers and civilians, 140 planes, 60 ships, from more than 30 allied and partner countries, in the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. The European Union and the African Union will also participate in the exercise as humanitarian agencies or NGOs. 

Two parts

Trident Juncture will be divided into two parts: lCommand Post Exercise (CPX) for training personnel at the strategic operational level Assessment and Certification (October 3-16), which will include participants from the European Union (EU) and African Union (AU); alive exercise (LIVEX) for troops at the tactical engagement level (October 21 – 6 November). This exercise also aims to certify personnel from Joint Force Headquarters Brunssum to lead the NATO Response Force, if activated, throughout 2016.
