The Rafah point reopened for a few days

(B2) The point of Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza will be reopened for three days, from 13 to 15 June in both directions. A decision that comes following consultation between President Abbas and the Egyptian authorities » as specified by the Bulgarian Nickolay Mladenov, United Nations special coordinator for the Middle East peace process.

While waiting for the regular reopening...

« I hope that the conditions of sécurité will that this decision be extended and Rafah can to be open on a regular basis ". And to add: « The necessity by full lift of all closures dwelling. PTo resolve the situation, a lasting solution also requires the return control waypoints in Gaza to the Palestinian Authority »

Europeans ready…

The Europeans have prepared a plan to build up power at the Rafah point where European observers were present in 2005-2006. But this remains conditional on the political agreement of all parties.
