The fight against terrorism on the agenda of the next Council
(BRUSSELS2) The High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs, Federica Mogherini, has just announced it. After the attack on the Charlie Hebdo newspaper, the subject of " the fight against terrorism will be on the agenda of the next Foreign Affairs Council on 19th January next. “The fight against terrorism, in all its forms, is regularly at the heart of the work of meetings of (European Union) Foreign Ministers. These tragic events strengthen my determination in this direction. The European Union remains united in the fight against all extremism“ she explained in a press release. And to add: the terrorist acts perpetrated today in Paris are deeply shocking. Freedom of the press is a fundamental right and we will not let these attacks undermine our values ».
