BPC Diksmuide in Zeebrugge

(B2) The Mistral-type helicopter carrier, the Diksmuide, will call after Lorient (October 6-8) in the Belgian port of Zeebrugge from October 10-15. A trip to celebrate the Battle of Diksmuide in October 1914 which saw the 1st marine rifle brigade, created a few months earlier, stand up and stop the German advance, with two Senegalese and Algerian battalions, which lost most of their manpower in the battle .
