The Polish workforce in EUFOR RCA more limited than expected

(BRUSSELS2) Poland should not provide the new European military operation which will be deployed in the Central African Republic (EUFOR RCA) with the expected numbers. But it will be more than we once feared. As Polish Army Chief of Staff Mieczysław Gocuł told private Polish Radio RMF, the workforce will be less to one company but more than 10 ».

According to our information, in fact, Poland could simply provide a workforce of around 50-60 personnel (58 probably), essentially made up of police military, as part of the European Gendarmerie force. A workforce that will thus complement the French gendarmes to provide the equivalent of a company of gendarmes. The Polish workforce is thus roughly equivalent to that provided... by Estonia. But we must also add the effort made on a bilateral basis for Operation Sangaris (C-130 Hercules).

NB: these gendarmes are closer to special forces, assures a senior officer who commanded them in the past. They are "very effective soldiers".
