UN extends anti-piracy operation off Somalia

(B2) The UN Security Council has renewed for 12 months the authorization granted to States and regional organizations which cooperate with the Somali authorities in the fight against piracy and armed robbery off the Somali coast. The resolution, adopted on November 18, urges Somali authorities “to to capture pirates operating off the coast of Somalia and to do everything possible to bring to justice anyone who uses Somali territory to plan, facilitate or undertake acts of piracy and armed robbery at sea ".
