Conference on the state of European defence… It's urgent!
Preparing the Defense Council
The objective: to participate in the debate by questioning the European prospects for defense through a series of essays, bringing together the issues of a Council considered as "a new step towards the communitarisation of the Defense of the European Union", in the words of Margriet Drent, one of its authors.
Five Experts
Five professors are invited, all experts in defense cases, members of strategic research centers, located in Paris, Washington, Berlin, Vilnius or Brussels. Sven Biscop, Program Director "Europe in the world" of the Egmont Institute will open the session. We will also note the presence of General Patrick de Rousiers, President of the Military Committee of the European Union, who will give in an introductory speech the key elements of the subject.
