Kosovo. Bllaca, SHIK man, sentenced

(B2) The Pristina court found Nazim Bllaca guilty of aggravated murder and sentenced him to 4 and a half years in prison (see also: Blaca pleads guilty). Agent of the “action” service of the UCK (the SHIK), armed wing of the party of the current Prime Minister, H. Thaci (PDK), Bllaca recognized in confessions which shook the small world of Kosovo, of several murders, notably of officials of the PDK's competing party, the LDK of Ibrahim Rugova. The PDK's takeover of power, in fact, proved more than bloody in 1999, during and after the NATO intervention.

He was taken into custody immediately upon sentencing. But, having already spent 1 year in detention between November 2009 and November 2010, this time will be counted.

The European and Kosovo judges applied the criminal code in force at the time of the facts, that is to say that of the autonomous socialist province of Kosovo and the socialist federal republic of Yugoslavia, today included in articles 31 and 179 of the Kosovo Criminal Code.
