EUTM Mali. The Spanish trainers are coming...

(BRUSSELS2) The last Spanish soldiers for the EUTM Mali mission arrived in Mali today. They landed at Bamako airport at 13 p.m. (local).

They were expected by the head of the Spanish contingent, Lt-Col Gabino Regalado de los Cobos, who greeted them. These soldiers will join the eight Spaniards already present on the spot and arrived in February (mainly at the General Staff in Bamako, 1 is at the training center in Koulikoro).

33 men from the Legion of Viator and Almería, will compose a section of force protection, at the barracks of Boubacar Sada Sy in Koulikoro, where the training takes place. And a team of 15 instructors will give specialized training in "commandos" to the Malian soldiers of the Wabara battalion (the Lions).
