A solution for force protection in Mali: three!

(BRUXELLES2, exclusive) A solution is in the process of being sketched out for the "force protection" of European soldiers deployed in Mali. On the sidelines of the Council of Foreign Ministers, today (March 11) in Brussels, the French Minister Laurent Fabius thus spoke with his Belgian colleague as well as his Spanish colleague. The solution found would be an increase in the Spanish contingent which would provide 30 more soldiers (2 sections instead of one section), the Belgians would provide a section of 30 men and the complement (a section of 30 men) would be provided by France. This would allow Koulikoro to have a full force (about 120 men). On the Belgian side, the decision could be taken in the restricted Council of Ministers (kern) “ tomorrow assured us Didier Reynders, the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs. Even the following days, the kern meeting almost every day now. " We would like others to participate. » he added and that “it is not always the same ones who are solicited ". NB: in Bamako, it would be the Czech paratroopers from Chrudim who will provide protection.
