Austrian contribution for EUTM Mali

(BRUSSELS2) The Austrian government approved this Tuesday (19 February) the mandate of the Austrian forces in the European training mission of the Malian army (EUTM Mali), as did also the Germans today (read: The mandate(s) of the German cabinet for Mali). The Austrians will take part in medical support with Germany, Hungary and Bulgaria. The Austrian contribution will be made up of an emergency doctor, a surgeon and four paramedics according to the Minister of Defense Norbert Darabos who made a statement to the press after the Council of Ministers. Austria will also send two military personnel to the mission HQ. The Austrian commitment is planned until mid-2014.
