Notice to doctoral students, the European Defense Agency rewards you

(BRUSSELS2) The European Defense Agency (EDA) and the Egmont Institute have decided to reward the best doctoral thesis dealing with defence, security or European strategy. For this, all doctoral students from a member country of the Agency (the 27 except Denmark) will be able to submit their work until December 17, 2012. The initiative seeks to encourage doctoral students by introducing their research within the the European nebula.

Read by a prestigious jury

Submitting one's candidacy should already be an exhilarating exercise in itself, since the members of the jury will be none other than Mrs. Claude-France Arnould, director of the AED, General de Rousiers, president of the military committee of the European Union, Professor Biscop of the Egmont Institute, Dr Missiroli, Director of the European Union Institute for Security Studies, Professor Howorth of Bath and Yale Universities, Dr Linnenkamp of the German Institute of International Affairs and Safety (SWP) and finally Professor R. Whitman from the University of Kent. Academic and Brussels names that weigh in the field of European defense therefore.

And rewarded with nice prizes

For the lucky winner of the prize, the reward will be all the more pleasing as it will be accompanied by a check for 2.000 euros and the possibility of speaking at the Annual Conference of the Defense Agency in March 2013 That's not all, the dissertation in question will also be recommended by Mr. Biscop and Mr. Whitman for inclusion in Routeledge Publishing House's European Strategy and Security Literary Series.
