What they are accused of is especially serious: abuse of power and illegal issuance of court decisions in 15 cases related to the privatization of public companies, under the jurisdiction of the Special Chamber of the Supreme Court of Kosovo, indicated the European mission . The privatizations of collective enterprises have so far brought in a significant sum, 600 million euros to the government. In a separate statement, EULEX also announced that former Kosovo anti-corruption prosecutor Nazmi Mustafi and three other people have been charged in a similar corruption case. Nazmi Mustafi was arrested in April on suspicion of receiving bribes.

It should be noted that in 2011 Kosovo ranked 112th out of 183 in the corruption index of the organization Transparency International.
