Ashton and Jalili will not be going on holiday together

(B2) The High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs met on Thursday (2 August), with Said Jalili, Iran's chief negotiator on the nuclear program to discuss how to take the talks forward. «I have made it clear that Iran must now deal with the problems we have discussed in order to establish a climate of confidenceunderlined Catherine Ashton. The head of the European diplomatic service should, after a period of one month of reflection, meet again with Dr. Jalili, without giving more details as to the modalities of the discussion or the interlocutors who will take part in it. The dialogue resumed in April with the E3+3 group made up of the three European countries - the United Kingdom, France and Germany - as well as the United States, Russia and China. For the Union, the objective remains to achieve "diplomatic solutions that would allay the concerns of the international community regarding Iran's nuclear programMs Ashton said.
