The EU “does not recognize the constitutional and legal framework within which the elections were held. These elections should not prejudice the determination of the future status of Nagorno-Karabakh within the negotiated framework of the peaceful settlement of the conflict. ". And the EU remains ready to support the negotiations so far ensured within the Minsk group made up of Russia, France and the United States. The High Representative called " the parties to redouble their efforts to find a negotiated solution on the basis of the Madrid principles which would make it possible to go beyond the status quo. "
