The Mv Liquid Velvet released

(B2) The Liquid Velvet MV was released on June 5th. This Greek chemical tanker was captured on October 31 with 22 crew on board while transiting from Suez to India. Pirates had at one time attempted to use it as a mothership to attack other ships. But anti-piracy forces managed to block this attempt. Although not officially confirmed, the release took place against a ransom. The pirates in December were asking for around $8 million, according to the Somalia report website.
