The Mv Liquid Velvet released

(B2) The Liquid Velvet MV was released on June 5th. This Greek chemical tanker was captured on October 31 with 22 crew on board while transiting from Suez to India. The pirates had tried for a while to use her as a mother ship to attack other ships. But the anti-piracy forces had succeeded in blocking this attempt. Although not officially confirmed, the release took place against a ransom. The hackers in December were asking for around $8 million, according to the Somalia report website.
