(BRUSSELS2) Attempt in the Red Sea and the Strait of Hormuz

Two merchant ships were attempting pirate attacks. The first was approached on Sunday (April 29) while sailing in the southern Red Sea (12° North and 42 East) by three gray skiffs, filled with armed men. The second was on April 30 in the Strait of Hormuz between Iran and the United Arab Emirates; the pirates tried to attack the Kuwaiti tanker Al Riqqa (of the KOTC Kuwait Oil Tanker Company) and the crew repelled the attack, its owner told the Kuna agency.
