The A400M on Asian tour

(BRUSSELS2) After Latin America, the A400M is making a presentation tour in Asia. The “Grizzly 4” landed on the Subang military base on April 14. A visit which is more than a courtesy since Malaysia is the only state in the region to have ordered planes from the European aircraft manufacturer (4 machines). This is the first time that Malaysians can see the Grizzly bear up close on their territory. The head of the Royal Malaysian Air Force had already had the opportunity to test the A400M simulator in France.

The plane will then continue its route to two other countries: the Halim base in Jakarta in Indonesia on April 18 and 19, and Chiang Mai airport in Thailand on April 19 and 20, before returning to Toulouse.

The Airbus A400M is currently completing its qualification phase with short-field and makeshift runway flying, equipment airdrops, and in-flight refueling are just a few examples of our current flight test activities. Conclusion expected by the end of the year…
