(BRUSSELS2) Fortunately the Greeks still have flying helicopters, as the blog also noted Theater Belli. A Super Puma from the Greek Air Force came to the rescue of a French luxury yacht, in distress, in the Aegean Sea (*). Some details of this rescue were provided to us by the Greek military.

The Yogi, a 60 meter long cruise ship, is then located between the islands of Skyros and Psara. He signals a leak. A first Super Puma helicopter from the 130th combat squad takes off in the early morning from Limnos airport to come to their aid. But he must be content with recognition; the weather conditions are too unfavorable. He " is not possible to immediately transport the occupants due to unfavorable conditions », Confirms a spokesperson for the Greek Air Force. A second helicopter takes off an hour later and is able to hoist the eight nationals, all French, who are brought back safely to the island of Skyros.

The Yogi is noted in the registers as belonging to an investment company, LOV NB 49, managed by Guillaume Fonquernie. It is normally rented or chartered for the benefit of luxury pleasure seekers. It has, in fact, 6 luxury cabins that can accommodate 12 passengers, jacuzzi, massage room and above all a superb swimming pool on the deck, according to its technical sheet. It's not really the ancient type of ship. On the contrary, it is brand new. And the paints didn't have time to peel off. Manufactured in Turkish shipyards, it was delivered barely a year ago, in March 2011.

(*) Don’t see any allegory of a candidate posing on a poster off the coast of the Aegean Sea 🙂
