ISAF chief apologizes for deaths of civilians killed by French soldiers in Kapisa

(B2) The head of ISAF - the international force present in Afghanistan -, General Allen, had to offer his condolences officially to the family of three civilians killed at a roadblock by French soldiers on July 16 in Kapisa province . A relatively rare procedure which was the subject of a press release, made public on August 16. He did, however, repeat ISAF's commitment to "minimize civilian casualties in (international forces) combat with the insurgency".
