ISAF chief apologizes for deaths of civilians killed by French soldiers in Kapisa

(B2) The head of ISAF - the international force present in Afghanistan -, General Allen, had to officially offer his condolences to the family of three civilians killed at a roadblock by French soldiers on July 16 in Kapisa province . A relatively rare procedure which was the subject of a press release, made public on August 16. However, he repeated ISAF's commitment to "minimize civilian casualties during (international forces') fights with the insurgency."
