NATO has taken command and control of operations in Libya

NAC Extended Meeting
An enlarged meeting of the NAC - the Council of NATO Ambassadors - was held, with all NATO partners, whether it is the Partnership for Peace (Central and Eastern Europe, Russia... ), the Mediterranean Dialogue and the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative and other partners (Australia, South Korea). Not all details are approved yet
Despite the appearance, and the successive announcements for several weeks that NATO is taking control of all military operations, everything is not yet really settled within the Alliance. And the political discussions continue. Thus an exceptional meeting of the NAC - this time reserved for NATO members - was convened this afternoon (Thursday 31 March). Or, as my AFP colleague, Pascal Mallet, titled it, the "protective" is "not so unified as that"...
