Europe strikes Libya at the heart of its politico-financial system. 5 covered entities (list)

(BRUSSELS2) No incident has interrupted the European decision-making process on sanctions against the Libyan regime of Colonel Gaddafi, the process of which we have detailed (1). The 27, unanimously, adopted today (Thu. March 10) a new decision aimed at freezing the assets of five Libyan entities which are placed at the heart of the State, ensure its financing or the financing of external activities. The list should be published in the Official Journal on Friday.

According to our information, these are the Central Bank of Libya, the Libyan Foreign Trade Bank, the Libyan investment funds Libyan Investment Authority (LIA), Libya Africa Investment Portfolo (LAIP) and the Libyan Housing and Infrastructure Board (LHIB).

A new name has also been added to the list of persons banned from visas and whose assets are frozen: Mustafa Zarti.

    I am of the opinion that the Libyan army should be hit because Gaddafi and his gang deserve this. For me, we must go further, that is to say help the population to conquer power by driving out Gaddafi who think that Libya is for him and his family.
    Libyans need freedom. I encourage you. Don't worry about the puppets who think the strikes should stop, where was he when Gaddafi was killing the Libyans. They are simply afraid because Gaddafi does everything for them. But this time it's over. Africans have woken up long live Africa, live the African revolution.
    The same remains to be done for Laurent Badgbo who is still thinking about it.

    Thank you France, thank you the UN, thank you the international community.
