First decision to freeze the assets of the Ben Ali family. Another in preparation

(BRUSSELS2) The 27 decided on Monday to freeze the assets of the various Tunisian officials responsible for embezzling public funds. They are the former president, Zinedine Ben Ali, and his wife, Leila Trabelsi. They won't be the only ones. The Tunisian authorities gave, yesterday, various elements allowing to complete this first decision. This complementary list could be adopted “ very quickly said Michèle Alliot-Marie, the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, in Brussels. This list should, according to our information, include around forty names and could be adopted by the end of the week, by written procedure.
