The Eulex Kosovo and Eupol Palestine missions are recruiting
La EU rule of law mission in Kosovo (EULEX) is renewing part of its staff and has launched a new call for applications for nearly 500 positions. Most are to be filled between January and April 2011. About fifty candidates are to be filled on contract, the rest by way of secondment from the Member States. The diversity of recruited profiles illustrates the diversity of the mission. From the forensic specialist to the political adviser, passing through the trial judge or the legal adviser to the supreme court, forensic investigators of all caliber and all fields, intelligence specialists, the coordinator of the helicopter missions, a responsible mine clearance, a dog handler to detect drugs or explosives, a telecommunications ace (microwave),... there's something for everyone.
The EU Police Mission in Palestine (EUPOL COPPS) is recruiting around twenty specialists. Most of these positions are to be filled "as soon as possible". The post of prison specialist is new and results from the extension of the mission. Three positions are recruited on contract or on secondment (Senior Mission Security Officer, Head of Administration and Finance, Senior Procurement Officer). The others are assigned by the normally exclusive means of secondment of agents from the Member States (Political Adviser, Reporting Officer, Logistics/Transportation Officer, Field Adviser, Command and Control Expert, PCP HQ / Training Advise, Program Director, Project Manager , Project Manager/ExO to DHoM, Penitentiary Expert, Criminal Justice and Police Law Expert, Specialist Adviser CID).
