The EU is still awaiting a response from the Iranians. Cathy Ashton takes over the pen

The High Representative of the EU had proposed to Iran three days of discussion in mid-November on the nuclear program. Proposal made on behalf of the E3 group+3 (Germany, France, United Kingdom – China, United States, Russia. Iran has publicly accepted this offer. But at Cathy Ashton, we remain skeptical and above all worried at not having received an official response.

To this end, she took up her pen again and sent a letter today proposing a meeting. In this letter addressed to the Iranian ambassador in Brussels today, the High Representative proposes a dinner on the evening of November 15, followed by “ two days of substantial discussions ". If the main subject will remain the " Iranian nuclear program ", it does not, however, exclude " no other relevant topic of discussion ". We " hope for a positive response we explain on the European side.
