Hooligan fever in Mitrovica. A French gendarme from Eulex wounded

(BRUSSELS2) A French gendarme - member of the European force EULEX - was wounded by bullets in the night from Saturday to Sunday during violent clashes between Albanians and Serbs in Mitrovica. It was the victory, narrowly, in basketball, of Turkey over Serbia, which set fire to the powder. Started with stone throwing, the clash which was mainly located around the Ibar, the river separating the two communities, was also punctuated by gunshots and molotov cocktails, directed in particular against the Kosovar police forces and Europeans who intervened to maintain order. The French gendarme was wounded by bullets, we confirm on the side of Eulex. He is fine. A Kosovo police officer was also slightly injured. As well as several demonstrators.
