The EU-US Summit will indeed take place… in Lisbon

(BRUSSELS2) The famous summit with the United States, canceled under the Spanish presidency by the Obama administration will take place in November (November 20), in... Lisbon! It will be the first held under the new format of the European Treaty. European Council President Herman Van Rompuy and his Commission counterpart, José-Manuel Barroso, have just officially confirmed this. But it should be noted that Cathy Ashton, the High Representative of the EU yet in charge of foreign policy, is not one of the "inviting powers".
