Energy resources and PSDC

(BRUSSELS2)“ The access of the European Union to energy resources and raw materials: the challenges for the CFSP/CSDP is the theme of the second seminar held by the French Institute for Advanced National Defense Studies (IHEDN) in Brussels (after the one on maritime security in July 2009). A seminar organized in collaboration with the European Commission.

Introduced by Wing Vice-Admiral Richard Laborde, Director of the IHEDN, and Dominique Ristori, Deputy DG of the European Commission's DG Energy, we can already note two workshops more specifically devoted to the defense :

– in the morning, on "Diplomacy on energy resources and identified CFSP/CSDP challenges" with Sami Andoura (Notre Europe), Karel Kovanda (DG Relex) and Christophe-Alexandre Paillard (former technical adviser on these issues to Pierre Lellouche at the State Secretariat for European Affairs).

- in the afternoon, on the "PESC/CSDP challenges on the "raw materials" initiative" of the EU with Bruno Martel-Jantin (from the BRGM), Gwenole Cozigou (director at DG Enterprise) and Julie Mercier (French Ministry of Defence).

Rv: Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Center Albert Borschette.
