Head of EUMM Georgia extended for one year

(BRUSSELS2) The head of the European observation mission in Georgia (EUMM), Hansjörg Haber, is extended for one year by the COPS (Political and Security Committee) of the European Union (until September 15, 2011) .
Appointed at the start of the mission, in September 2008, he will lead a team of 430 people: 330 international experts (most of whom, 299, seconded by their Member State) and around a hundred local employees (COREPER having accepted the recruitment of around thirty additional staff, mainly for translation and cleaning).
