Albin Kurti's trial in Kosovo ends
(B2) A first verdict fell in Kosovo against Albin Kurti. leader of Vetëvendosje, opposed to the international presence, was suspected of having obstructed the forces of order during a demonstration in February 2007 which had slipped. The international police forces (at the time of the MINUK) had fired with plastic bullets and left 2 dead and several dozen injured. Albin Kurti was sentenced, Monday, June 14, to 9 months in prison by the Court of Pristina composed of a Kosovar judge and two European judges. He was, however, released immediately after the time served in pre-trial.
This is the first such trial in Kosovo since independence. And the European mission "Eulex" (Rule of law) had made it a test of the capacity of Kosovo justice to fulfill its role. The trial, which had been started in 2007, then interrupted and resumed in February 2010, had moreover been marked by several incidents: once the lawyer was not there, once it was the accused, once he was a judge. The release of Albin Kurti also closes a legal case which had hints of a political score settling.
NB: Close to Demaci, the leader of the UCK, the Kosovo Liberation Army, Albin Kurti was also arrested in 1999 by the Serbian forces and then charged with threatening territorial integrity and links with terrorism movements.

It should not be forgotten that Albin Kurti has no connection with terrorist movements. Terrorists are rather those who killed the two activists of the non-violent resistance organization Vetëvendosje! (Self-determination) and who have still not been judged. The EULEX even offered a sum of money to buy the silence of the families of the 2 victims.
EULEX or UNMIK have nothing of an administration, but rather a neo-colonial regime.
The only opposition in Kosovo is indeed the Vetëvendosje movement! The Kosovar ministers have no sovereignty and kneel before European decisions.
It is time to put an end to this political scam. Serbs are a minority in Kosovo and they represent only 5% of the entire population. However, they enjoy 100% of the rights that the Albanian communities in Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Montenegro do not have.
