Gulf of Aden. A tanker captured by pirates

(B2) Somali pirates took control, in the early morning of June 28, of a tanker flying the flag of Singapore, the MV Golden Blessing, approximately 60 nautical miles north of the Somali coast, confirms the EU anti-piracy HQ in Northwood (Operation Atalanta).

The helicopter of the German frigate Schleswig-Holstein flew over the ship and confirmed the presence of suspected pirates on board after the captain alerted multinational forces. No injuries were reported among the crew members (19 Chinese). THE MV Golden Blessing is a 14.446 ton tanker carrying ethylene glycol.
