Estonia to participate in anti-piracy operation Atalanta (update)

Aaviksoo-Mindef-Estonian.jpg(B2) Estonia should join the anti-piracy operation EUNAVFOR Atalanta in a more operational way, Estonian Defense Minister Jaak Aaviksoo announced today in Luxembourg.

An on-board protection team of a dozen naval personnel should be integrated into a German ship by the end of the year. Negotiations have started.

It should be noted that Estonia already has a stake in the operation's General Staff.
