The Seychelles Defense Forces deploy in certain islets of the archipelago

(B2) The government of Seychelles has just decided to deploy armed personnel to the islands north and south of Mahé (the main island of the archipelago), following a recommendation from the High Level Committee on Piracy. This follows the capture of a Panamanian freighter, the Al Khaliq, Thursday, in the waters of the Seychelles EEZ (180 miles from the west coast of Mahé) and is part of the deterrent device set up at the international level. It also aims to thwart the possible use as a rear base or fallback of certain islets by pirates (see around the Seychelles, base and information). And allows you to place observation points on land, in addition to observation points at sea.
