Europeans and Australians will be able to exchange “secret defense” data



(B2) The European Union should very soon sign an agreement with Australia on the security of the exchange of classified information. This agreement follows a partnership framework agreement signed a year ago (October 29, 2008) intended, among other things, to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation and dialogue in foreign policy and global security interests. Negotiations had started quickly on the initiative of the Australians (December 19, 2008). The Council of the EU authorized the opening of negotiations a few months later (March 9, 2009). The parties reached a technical agreement this October. This agreement paves the way for others, in particular, the Australian participation in an ESDP mission, such as Atalanta... for example (read the Part-Time Wallabies in Atalanta).
