Milliband does not want to send reinforcements to Afghanistan

(B2 / Summer Brief): David Milliband, the British Foreign Secretary, visiting Washington on July 28 and 29, refuses to significantly increase the British troops in the International Force in Afghanistan (IFAS), as asks the Americans, and recalls that the sending of 800 additional men is temporary. The United Kingdom has about 9000 soldiers on site (the second after the Americans and the largest contingent of the EU armies).
