Yemenia Airbus crash: A ship "Atalanta" participates in the search
(BRUSSELS2) The Italian frigate of the European anti-piracy force "Atalanta", the ITS Maestrale, was diverted to join the search for the Airbus A310-300 of the company Yemenia which crashed at sea off of the Comoros, on the night of Monday to Tuesday. A French Transall dispatched from Réunion - with a doctor, firefighters and divers on board - and a civilian tugboat with two zodiacs from the Foreign Legion, based in the Comoros, were dispatched to the scene. The French frigate Nivôse (well known from this site, for having participated in theOperation Atalanta) - has also been requisitioned and his Panther helicopter should be very useful on the spot. THE
patrolman P400 "La Rieuse", based in Reunion, should also arrive in the area on July 1.
